Overview
Becoming a Christian means becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, the greatest teacher in human history. Jesus trained His disciples. Disciples need training because they must live the life of a disciple. This course identifies methods for growing as a disciple and what true disciples must accomplish in their lives.
6-week course (90 min x 6 sessions, 9 hours)Main Content
Identify whom Jesus calls as disciples and how He calls them. Also examine the ins and outs of training.
No one becomes a disciple instantly or automatically. Everyone starts weak and in need of help and teaching; through the Bible's examples, we learn how one grows and matures through training and obedience.
Disciples imitate the example of Jesus. Disciples must also emulate Jesus who bore the cross.
Disciples are also those who have received a mission and must go out to spread the gospel.
