Overview

You will survey the specifics and contents of 39 books in the Old Testament (OT). You will gain the overview of the OT based on "Introduction," "Fast facts," "Important Contents" and "Key Points" of each book.

  • It takes seven 150-minute sessions (total 30 hours) to complete the course.

Contents

  1. Gain the overview of 39 books in the OT.
  2. Memorize the features of each book in the OT in the form of "The Book of __________."
  3. Explain the theme of each book in the OT in one sentence.
  4. Describe the content of each book in the OT as one-paragraph story.

Overview

The students will study the five books in the Pentateuch (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy) before they study each book inductively. The course guides them to peruse the books. They will understand the Pentateuch as one book and survey the inception of human history and the formation of God's people. They will deal with many questions raised when they peruse the books. They will also learn how to read the Bible to find the meanings and lessons that the original reader understood, Moreover they will learn how to apply the lessons to themselves.

  • It takes eight 150-minute sessions (total 20 hours) to complete the course.

Contents

  1. Study how to answer to various questions about the content in Genesis 1-11 biblically and understand the intention of each question and the answer to it.
  2. Confirm the location and importance of the Pentateuch in the Bible, and learn the basic method to read a book in the Bible according to its literary type.
  3. Interpret and explain the inception of God's promise and its transition, the history of the patriarchs from Abraham, and the history of the early formation of Israel in relation to the promise and law.
  4. Understand the historical facts from the Bible through the geography and people in the Bible, and describe the repeated meaning and its influence in the whole Bible in relation to God.
  5. Summarize the lives of important characters such as Adam, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Moses focusing on how they responded to God's selection and calling.

Overview

Learn the intuition and skill to understand the Psalms according to their classification, and the meaning and importance of intimate fellowship and worship of God.

  • It takes eight 150-minute sessions (total 20 hours) to complete the course.

Contents

  1. Understand the structure and theme of 150 Psalms as a whole.
  2. Confirm your sincere attitude and mind in approaching God responding to his relationship and calling as a worshiper and apply it to yourselves.
  3. Classify the Psalms and learn the literary characters of each class.
  4. Confirm the passion, glory and the eternal reign of Jesus Christ from the various expressions about Jesus Christ, the Messiah, in the Psalms.

  • Galatians

Overview

You will study Daniel's faith, courage, integrity and the prophetic visions he received from God in this course. As you study through this course, you will begin to understand not only the meaning and significance of the dreams and prophetic visions, but also the type of person Daniel was as a man of God. His integrity, character, and faith (combined with godly courage) render him a model for believers living today under the new covenant. By studying this course, become a modern-day Daniel!

  • It takes twelve 150-minute sessions (total 30 hours) to complete the course.

  1. Understand the meaning and significance of the dreams and prophetic vision, and describe Daniel's identity.
  2. Understand the theology of the Old Testament, how the history develops and the prophecies of the Bible.
  3. Apply the biblical principles from the Book of Daniel for the growth of your faith and character.
